Art Gernt, II, CPIA, CIC
Art joined the family business in 1990 and became the second-generation owner of the agency in 2006. A graduate of Tennessee Tech University, Art is active in insurance trade organizations and up to date on the ever-changing insurance industry and the products offered to protect his clients. He has been a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) since 1995 and he also earned the highly respected Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) designation in 2002. In addition to Art’s certifications, he is actively involved in the Professional Insurance Agents of Tennessee (PIA) organization where he received the 2006 Professional Agent of the Year Award and currently serves as Past President of its Board of Directors. Art is also actively involved in the community serving on the Board of Directors of the Crossville Noon Rotary Club, as well as many other activities. Art is married to wife, Debbie, and they have three children – Ben, Nick & Abbye. Art has the knowledge, qualifications and experience to help you with ALL of your insurance needs!

Tom Gernt, CPIA, CLCS
Tom joined Gernt Insurance in August 2004, graduated from The Pacesetter Academy in Columbus, Ohio in 2005 and continues as an alumnus in the program. Specializing in commercial insurance, Tom can help you assess your commercial insurance requirements and tailor a policy to meet the specific risk management needs of your business. Tom can also help you with your life, health, home and auto insurance needs. Previously in sales and service with a national pest control company, Tom is a 1992 graduate of York Institute in Jamestown, Tennessee. Tom is currently a member of the Crossville Noon Rotary Club, and he is actively involved in the Professional Insurance Agents of Tennessee (PIA) organization. He received his Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) in early 2008 and just recently completed his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designation. Tambra Hankins
Tambra joined Gernt Insurance in July 2005, bringing with her over 19 years of experience in insurance customer service. Originally from Indianapolis, Tambra is a fully licensed insurance agent in Tennessee and is currently working towards certification as a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR). She is also a recent graduate of The Pacesetter Academy in Columbus, Ohio. Tambra can help you with all your personal insurance needs, including auto, home, bonds and life insurance. She lives in Lake Tansi, is married to husband, Bob, and has three children; Kiley, Scott, and Erin. Tambra knows the questions to ask to be sure that your assets are protected!

Keli Smith
Keli, a Cumberland County native, joined Gernt Insurance in 2006. She is a fully licensed agent and has invaluable experience in dealing with clients to be sure their questions are answered and their coverages are correct. As with all our agents, Keli handles her customers with care! She is currently working towards certifications as a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA).
